Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy

Who We Are

Lance Dustin
Interim Senior Chaplain

Thank you for visiting the Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy online!

My name is Lance Dustin, the interim Senior Chaplain. I have served as a Law Enforcement Chaplain for over 26 years. In that time, I have served two different Law Enforcement Chaplaincies, and held a Supervisory role within those agencies. Most recently, I am retiring from a seventeen and a half year career as a Deputy Probation Officer in Yolo County. I look forward to continuing to serve Placer County and our amazing Law Enforcement community!

PCLEC chaplains receive U.S. Presidential Volunteer Awards for Lifetime Service.

Our Mission

We provide spiritual, mental & emotional support to the Law Enforcement Community, their families, and the citizens of Placer County.

PCLEC continually provides the service of trained, critical incident chaplains on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis. This vital Chaplaincy program is comprised of a team of specially trained individuals who volunteer their time to help and serve others. All of our Chaplains are trained to lend a helping hand to every person, without regard to religious preference (including no preference), and are frequently requested to contact pastors, priests, rabbis and other religious leaders to assist families.

Our History

Incorporated in 1986 as a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation, Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy was formed as a field service to both Law Enforcement agencies and crisis victims, providing at no cost a dynamic team of specially trained men and women qualified to offer strength, compassion and counsel when tragedy strikes.
